Domain Name Scam from CN Network
I received an email today from “Mark Zeng” at “CN Network” informing me that another company was planning to register ShutterbugRemote throughout Asia. I wrote back informing him that the name is trademarked. A quick search then brought me to this site: http://www.biculturalmama.com/2013/07/bloggers-beware-of-domain-name-scam.html where a blogger writes of a scam to convince people to purchase foreign domains. Hopefully that is the case and word gets out about it! I’ve included the email text below in case you’ve received something similar. Beware!
Dear Manager,
(If you are not the person who is in charge of this, please forward this to your CEO,Thanks)

You got this right.I had the exact same word for word email.
Thanks for the post, I just received that same message.
We received two days ago the same email from the same company regarding our domains.
I received exactly the same wording except for my company name.
“Mark Zeng” contacted us as well informing that “THD Import & Export Co. Ltd” is planing to register our roditelji(.me) (which is parents in Montenegrin and I am completely sure means nothing in any of Asian languages) domain throughout Asia.
It seams that THD Import & Export Co. Ltd is is going wild on domain business :):)
Anyway, I googled it and found same blog post you are mentioning as well as your own, that confirmed my doubt it was a SCAM scheme for selling overpriced cn domains
I received the same mail! Today.
I do receive the same word and same email. Then what should we do ?. I have replied to cn-network that my website already trademarked
I received the same mail! Today.
We had the same email please find below

Thank You so very much for posting this- I got the exact same email word for word fronm the same guy. I responded back telling him we are trademarked and its illegal so I would have my lawyer call him. Here’s our interaction– it starts from my latest response and goes chronologically backwards to the first email this scammer sent to myself which is the same as everyone in this discussion:
Let me have my lawyer call you. The name and products of Glam Girl Naturals Cosmetics are Trademarked. If anyone even uses that name for their product and or website name they WILL be sued.Hope you understand the serious implications of this matter and the consequences of your using my domain name in China. Thanks for your time. Thanks,Satyawww.glamgirlnaturals.com
Dear Sir/Madam, Thanks for your confirmation. As soon as receiving the application of “THD Import & Export Co. Ltd”, we checked and found “glamgirlnaturals” is your company’s registered brand, So we inform you also that’s reason why we sent email to you.But the domain names registration is open in China, “THD Import & Export Co. Ltd” has right to apply for the available domain names. For this reason “THD Import & Export Co. Ltd” is also licit applicant and we have no right to reject them. You only own the preferential rights to register them.In addition, please inform us of your company’s decision of this issue and whether you need to use your priority to register these domains. If your company do need to register those Domains in China please inform us in time. Or else we think it as your waiver. Thanks for your understanding. Best Regards,Jacob Ma

In orde r to avoid any potential risks in terms of trademark dispute and impact on your market businesses in China and Asia in future, we need to confirm with you whether “Allegis Globle Pvt. Ltd.” is your own subsidiary or partner.
Will your businesses in China and Asia be impacted potentially if they apply for this trademark? And will you agree this company to apply for this trademark? Please contact us immediately within 10 working days, otherwise, you will be deemed as waived by default.

Received one today too. Everyone should post a new listing on this matter at ripoffreport.com as it rises to the top of search results with each post. This showed up nicely as well. The more the merrier and hopefully it will get the word out quicker. As a techy, this one had me scratching my head too, job well done aholes – you can make money without scamming…
Oct 31- this scam still being mailed, mine is same word for word, except rep on CN’s side is named David Tang.
We actually have most of those countries blacklisted on our email server because of the amount of spam that comes from Asia, and we do not (not plan to) do business with any foreign countries except Canada.
I got the same email! Thank you for this entry. This email is off to the trash can….
Thanks everyone- I got the same email from mark Zheng but a different import company. Figured it was a scam to sell foreign domains and you have reassured me. All the best guys.
Yes, as all the others have said, I got the same email and a second correspondence as well. Glad I googled it
Add my name to the list of those who received the identical email message. Now I am receiving follow up messages hoping to create fear in me and convince me to buy foreign domain names. Is there any way to electronically blow up there server??
They’re still doing this crap. Just got an email today 2/24/2017!
Beware the snake has reared its head again… this time from a Vincent Zhao (赵远文)
